Wedding Invitations!

Standard

Now that our invitations are all out and we’re just waiting on those straggler RSVPs I can showcase my hard work!!

The first step, choose a theme….We wanted a garden party so my wonderful graphic designers at work printed out a 20 some flowers and I came home to hand color them.

a few of the flowers I colored

From there, we scanned in the flowers and Rich my designer placed them so perfectly throughout the invitation suite. Within the suite, was the invitation, rsvp with envelope, directions/accommodations (with a map on the back) and for a few people a rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch invitation. We chose a golden pearl linen cover stock for the pocket and a stardust pearl white for the inserts. I love that Rich was able to find a font that had little flowers growing around the capitals in our names…similar to the way chapters started in really old books.

It took my Mom and I with the help of my friend Kristen two whole days to assemble the invitation suite and address all 156 envelopes.

I’m very fortunate to work at a printing company,  I was with the project from start to finish.  I was there when we cut down all the pieces to size, I was able to perforate the rehearsal dinner and brunch invitations and create the gold pocket fold with the green ribbon, I did (almost) all of it and if feels great!
