A little less a month ago I had an entire weekend where I didn’t have a single thing to do, anywhere to be, or anyone to see. It was so refreshing to have a little breather! I mostly sat on the sofa and was a lazy, lazy girl. I did muster up enough energy to sew a dress with the remaining fabric from this dress. I don’t even have an event to wear this dress to, yet…
the little belt detail.
I strayed away, once again, from the pattern. I just don’t like what they have to offer me.
Two weekends ago I attended The Field’s wedding. A lovely night with yummy food, great laughter, and many smiles. I decided to make my dress for the wedding as mentioned here, and here. The photo below is the final result. For my third dress ever constructed I’m really proud of myself. To my friends out there, if you have a better photo of the dress please email it to me, I’m not in love with this one.
A few hours into the reception...
This might become a tradition, me making my dresses, for the million weddings I have coming up this year. That way no one will have the same dress and I can say “thanks, I made it!”
The new fashionista to Jackie Kennedy…Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain?
If I were to choose who would be President like I do with who would win the SuperBowl, based on fashion, of course. I would probably vote for Obama, simply because his wife, Michelle, has such a sweet simple sense of fashion and they look so darn cute together. Too bad that whole being republican thing gets in the way of fashion.
